The important bits
Terms &
Conditions
These terms explain how weekly pre-orders, payments, cancellations and collections work.
Last updated: 30 September 20261. About us
Secndz Bakehouse Ltd (“Secndz”, “we”, “us” or “our”) supplies freshly baked cookies for collection. Our collection address is (Radio Sangam building) Bay Hall, Miln Road, Birkby, Huddersfield, HD1 5EJ. You can contact us at iwantsecndz@gmail.com.
2. Weekly pre-orders
Pre-orders open every Monday at 9am and close every Thursday at 5am (UK time). A drop may close earlier if it sells out. Your order is accepted when you receive an order confirmation. Please check the flavour choices, collection details and contact information in that confirmation and email us promptly if anything is incorrect.
3. Fresh preparation and collection
Cookies are prepared and baked fresh on Friday for collection on Saturday between 12pm and 2pm from (Radio Sangam building) Bay Hall, Miln Road, Birkby, Huddersfield, HD1 5EJ. The person collecting must provide the customer name and order number. Please do not arrive outside the collection window unless a different time has been agreed with us in writing.
4. Prices and secure payment
The price shown at checkout is the total payable for the selected order. Online card payments are processed securely by Stripe. Secndz Bakehouse Ltd does not receive or store your full card number. An order is not confirmed until payment has been authorised and an order confirmation has been issued.
5. Customer cancellations
To request a cancellation, email iwantsecndz@gmail.com by 12pm on Wednesday and include your name and order number. If accepted, the refund will be sent to the original payment method as soon as reasonably possible; your bank or card provider may take additional time to show it.
Cancellation requests received after 12pm on Wednesday cannot be accepted because ingredients and production are planned for freshly prepared orders. Your order will still be made and must be collected. Cookies are fresh, perishable goods, so the usual change-of-mind cancellation right may not apply. This policy does not affect your legal rights if goods are faulty, unsafe or not as described.
6. Allergens and dietary requirements
Ingredients, allergens and cross-contamination warnings are displayed before purchase and again during checkout. Confirmed ingredient and allergen information is also provided with the order on the box. Recipes and supplier ingredients can change, so customers must check the information shown for the relevant drop and the label supplied with their order.
Our kitchen handles wheat/gluten, milk, eggs, soya, peanuts and tree nuts. Cross-contamination cannot be ruled out. Customers with a severe allergy should contact us before ordering and may decide that our products are not suitable for them.
We do not provide a refund where a product accurately matches the allergen information supplied and the customer chose to order despite a declared allergen or cross-contamination warning. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability, or a customer’s statutory rights, where allergen information is incorrect, a product is unsafe because of our act or omission, or liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. Missed collections
If an order is not collected by 2pm on Saturday and no alternative has been agreed in writing, it will be treated as uncollected. Because the cookies are made fresh for that customer, no refund will be due for a missed collection. Uncollected cookies may be donated to charity so that fresh food is not wasted.
8. If something is wrong
If you are unhappy with an order, email us as soon as reasonably possible at iwantsecndz@gmail.com with your name, order number, a description of the issue and, where helpful, photographs. We will review the circumstances and work with you on an appropriate resolution. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under UK consumer law, including your rights where goods are faulty, unsafe or not as described.
9. If we cannot fulfil an order
If we cannot fulfil all or part of an accepted order, we will contact you using the details provided. We may offer a suitable alternative, but we will not substitute a flavour without your agreement. If no suitable alternative is agreed, we will refund the affected item or order to the original payment method.
10. Customer information
We use customer information to process orders, take payment, arrange collection, provide allergen and service information, maintain legally required records and respond to enquiries. Details about what we collect, why we use it, who we share it with and your data-protection rights are set out in our Privacy Notice.
11. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control. If such an event affects an order, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and explain the available options, including a refund where we cannot fulfil the order.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Customers living elsewhere in the UK retain any mandatory rights and may bring proceedings in the courts available to them under applicable law. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining terms will continue to apply.
